Snow Day 2009!

Katy's 5th Birthday

Today, January 27th~ Katy turned 5 years old!

Bry and I have, since Kayla's 1st Birthday (with very few exceptions), taken our kids birthdays off and spend the whole day with them. This worked well with the older kids because their birthdays are all in the summer. But now that we Homeschool, its a Holiday or day off of school as well! :) They also get to pick where they would like to go out to eat at.

Another thing we always do is buy them 3 gifts
(Jesus received 3 gifts on his birthday!).

Then they also receive 1 gift from each sibling!

Because of the snow, the family ended up meeting us at Chuck E Cheese.

In the evening, our neighbors joined for some cake!

So Katy was just partying all day long!

Breakfast is served from 6 to 10:30 am! *I would double check with the mall stores, since they probably open later!

Happy New Year!

~ HAPPY NEW YEAR! ~

I am not sure we really have a tradition when it comes to New Years Eve & New Years Day! Some poeple have special meals they eat on New Years Day that I didn't even realize people did till this year!  Did you know that?

Anyway....Bry ended up working from 10 - 4.  So Kath plus6 headed over to spend that time hanging out with our Cousins!  Oh and Aunt Wendy & Uncle Joe!  :)  We played lots of Yahtzee and the kids played various Wii games as well!  It was fun!

We ended up picking Bry up late, cause we were having so much fun and ended up leaving later than we were suppose to!  After that we headed home to get ready for the evening!

For New Years Eve, we had planned on spending that time with our neighbors.  Bonnie was joining us as well.  

So at 7 pm we headed over there.  We had lots of things to enjoy eating.  Such as Georgia Browns or Hanky Panky as we call them.  (I also hear they are called something else!) Everything was YUMMY!  We played games and of course laughed ALOT!  Its always such a good time getting together with them!

MIDNIGHT and we saw the ball drop and kinda of saw the Deathstar from Star Wars, explode! Then with our coats on we ran outside to make as much noise as possible and make a mess on their driveway!

Hope your New Years Eve was just as fun & safe as it was for us!
