Happy Earth Day!

Tonight we headed out to the Premier/Sneakpeak of the NEW Disney Nature~ Earth Movie. For the Genre of being a movie about Nature, it was GREAT!! Bry and I agree, though, that we would not have paid $7 to see it, (our tickets were FREE!). My kids weren't that excited to go, but we were able to count that as Science hours for school! They enjoyed several parts through out the movie. It made us laugh a little, awe a little, & whince a little!

They also gave us a Sneakpeak of the trailer for Disney Nature~ The Ocean! But that doesn't come out till Earth Day 2010!

Have a Happy Earth Day tomorrow!

Brady's Easter

You can read about our Easter here.

But I did want to add a few more pics of Brady! I don't know how he ended up with the headband on his head, but he kept it on for LONG time!

Monday, the day after Easter, Brady somehow managed to climb or reach up on the dining room table and find a chocolate bunny that when we found him, he was gobbling up! :) I think he has a sweet tooth like the rest of us!

Easter

As is custom, in order for me to get a few pics of each child. We make them come downstairs one at a time. We usually start with the youngest first. Although I think at Christmas we let the olders ones come first.

Anyway, Brady was the first one to come down the stairs and because he had no clue, he went straight for highchair and ready for breakfast. No coaching, no toy, no piece of candy was going to keep him from that chair! So Bry put him in the chair with some dry cereal and we let Katy come on down. Once I had a few pics of them finding some eggs, we called the next one down!

As I mentioned yesterday the Easter Bunny hides 5 eggs for each one and they must find those BEFORE going to their basket. Although you can see them glancing at their baskets and at the DVD or Wii games that he left, as they are hurrying to find their eggs. We also told them not to touch the ones on Brady's toys, because those were for him to find!

Speaking of which, once Brady realized there were eggs hidden (or laying around rather). He ran to pick one up and before we knew it, he threw it like a ball! Of course EVERYONE started laughing and he figured that was what he was suppose to do with ALL of them! EGGS were FLYING everywhere! :)

After enjoying looking at what the Easter Bunny left. We went and got ready for church. Today we headed over to the Vineyard to see our Nephew Joey get baptized. We went to their 10 AM service in the regular building. It was nice to hear an update on the Luke4 Challenge and hear Dave speak! Bry & I LOVE (& miss) the Vineyard's Worship Band led by Charlie Hines! After that service we went over to the Student Union, which was our first time seeing that building! AWESOME! We went to the Middle school service and then half way through headed over to the High School Service for the Baptisms! It was exciting to see all that had/is happening at the Vineyard, but we missed our Liberty Heights Church family today as well! :)\\

After church we headed back home to meet up with Pappa and have some Honeybaked Ham, Cheesy potatoes, corn, rolls, salad, baked beans and we decided no dessert~ everyone could just eat their candy! :)

A Very nice Easter had by all!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Today we colored our Easter Eggs. Brady didn't know really what to think about it. He helped with 1 egg and then mommy decided that was enough! So we gave him a treat and let him sit in his highchair eating it and watching everyone else.

Once all the eggs were done and we had them sitting in egg cartons on the table drying. When nobody was looking, Brady went over and wanted to get a closer look. So he pulled one of the cartons off the table. Luckily he pulled the one with the fewest eggs! Cause they were all broken!

After the eggs dryed, the kids each picked out 5 eggs to put in their basket. Every year we leave our eggs in our basket and the Easter Bunny hides them. The kids then have to find their eggs before seeing what the Easter buuny left in place of the eggs.

~ Kayleigh's Special Day ~

Today was Kayleigh's Special Day! She chose going to paint pottery! So we were going to head over to Mad Potter in Mason!

But FIRST, we headed over to Skyline for lunch. The ladies at the Maineville Skyline were surprised to see only 3 of us! We even got to sit in a booth!

We have never been to the Mad Potter or even painted pottery so this was a totally new experience. The lady there was really nice and very helpful. Bry & I decided we wanted to paint a special day plate and a mug that when its someone's birthday they can eat off of and drink out of! She showed us how to do that! I think it turned out pretty well for us non-artist people!

Kayleigh made a mug, vase, & a cell-phone holder for Bry and I!

I think we will have many more pottery painting days in our future!

Kaitlynn's Special Day

Today was Kaitlynn's Special Day! She wanted to go to Newport Aquarium, so we headed over there this morning. We were anxious to get there by the time it opens at 10 so we could get our tickets, get in and grab a spot for the Penguin Parade! We actually were inside and waiting for 15 min. to see the parade. Next time you go, don't bother! I think if we would have blinked we would have missed it! (See pic below!)

Once we were inside we were able to enjoy the Aquarium at a nice pace. Kaitlynn was able to touch a shark! This one shark was kinda of bobbing up and down out of the water and the lady told to stand back cause she was getting ready to spit! But it was so funny watching that shark!

After the Aquarium we headed over to Johnny Rocket's for lunch. We had to sit at the counter, cause it was kinda of crowded in there! But that was fun!

Then we headed over to the candyshop before leaving. Kathryn was able to get her favorite, COTTON CANDY!!!! We even took some home to the other kids! :)
